Expressing Gratitude: I Am Thankful I Get to Travel the World

I Am Grateful to Be Able to Travel
As I mentioned during my last blog post, I am traveling the world. I traveled from my home in Tampa for a ten day trip through India that included both sightseeing and work. This is my second trip to India, and for the most part, I have been traveling with my co-workers and visiting other colleagues in India.
One of the things that I get to do when I travel this far from home is think. There is no commuting, less work stress, and long periods of time where I am alone. My opportunity to reflect is definitely shaped by my travels, where I get to see people living in ways that really differ from my life in the United States.
During this trip, I really reflected on so many things for which I am grateful. In the next few posts, I hope to share several, sometimes surprising, things for which I am grateful. You may be wondering how expressing gratitude is related to stress and health. There actually is research examining whether expressing gratitude is related to wellness, which I will review later as part of my gratitude journey.
I Am Grateful For….
I will not keep you in suspense. One of the first things that struck me during this trip was the fact that I am extremely lucky to be able to to travel to India. I am quite fortunate to be able to see the sights that I was able to see, like the Taj Mahal. I am also very lucky to be able to work with great colleagues in India doing exciting and meaningful work that can help improve the health of people who live there. So, I have to say that I am very grateful for the opportunity to be able to travel around the world. Traveling has always been one of my passions. It is amazing that year after year I am able to continue to travel like I do. I hope to be able to continue to travel throughout the rest of my life.
Feel free to express gratitude yourself. I will help you get started. Finish the following sentence:
I am grateful for….
